The menu is where things really shine. It leans into rich, globally inspired flavors, and you can tell each dish has been thoughtfully put together. The Chermoula Vegetable dish is a great starting point-fresh, aromatic, and packed with spices that bring out a deep, earthy taste. If you’re in the mood for seafood, the African Spiced Octopus is a standout, tender and full of character without being overpowering. Meanwhile, the Barramundi with Cold Broccoli and Artichokes offers a lighter option, balancing delicate textures with refreshing sides.

For something heartier, the Beef Ribs are hard to overlook. They arrive generous and flavorful, perfect for dinner when you want something satisfying. Pair that with one of their signature drinks, like the Lychee Martini, and you’ve got a combination that feels both indulgent and well-balanced. The bar onsite adds to the experience, making it easy to transition from a casual meal into a laid-back evening.

Whether you’re stopping by for late-night food, planning a relaxed dinner, or bringing the family along, the setup works. There’s a kids' menu available, which is always a plus for families, and the free parking lot removes one of the usual hassles of dining out.

The overall vibe is casual yet polished. It’s the kind of place where reviews often highlight both the consistency of the food and the easygoing service. You don’t feel rushed, and at the same time, everything flows smoothly-from ordering to enjoying your meal.

In terms of location, Hope Island adds to the charm. It’s a peaceful area, and the restaurant fits right in, offering a comfortable space to unwind. What customers say?

“ I'm usually not all that keen on Mediterranean food but I was quite impressed. The food was presented beautifully and it actually tasted pretty good. I'm not the biggest fan of lamb so alot of the dishes are quite lamb centred. We got a couple of sides to start then we got the platter. The beef rib was by far the most popular with the group the meat was so tender it falls off the bone. Everything was quite flavourful and the pita bread and garlic yoghurt dip was fantastic. The service was excellent we got Anh and she was absolutely lovely and so bubbly and personable and offered suggestions for options. It made the dining experience just even more memorable having her waiting our table. Would definitely be coming back ”

“ Absolutely delicious! We got the grilled share platter and it was divine. I will be coming back for more. The sticky ribs and lamb cutlets were our absolute favourite. The customer service is amazing and the restaurant is clean, modern and stunning. Its big and can accommodate any size group. Location by the water is beautiful too. Can not fault this restaurant. Now one of my faves. ”

“ I don’t usually write reviews, but I truly feel compelled to share my experience at this restaurant because it was exceptional. First, the lamb cuts were cooked to perfection — tender, melt-in-your-mouth, and simply beautiful. The service was wonderful; the staff were attentive, constantly checking in despite being very busy, and they did it with a genuine smile. The Valentine’s Day decoration was charming — everything in red, with thoughtful touches like a teddy bear included in the experience, which added a delightful personal touch. The belly dancer was fantastic, engaging with the guests and creating a lively, joyful atmosphere. What truly touched me, however, was the care and attention shown to my friend, who is undergoing chemotherapy for terminal cancer. After his treatment, he was nauseated and could only manage a soup, which was not on the menu. I spoke with the manager, Leah, who immediately communicated with the chefs. Despite a full restaurant, they prepared the soup for him, showing extraordinary customer care and empathy. This act of kindness and understanding meant so much to me and truly reflects the heart of this restaurant. Overall, the combination of amazing food, attentive service, thoughtful atmosphere, and genuine care for their guests makes this restaurant, The One! I wholeheartedly recommend. ”

“ The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were good. The only issue was that one of the people accompanying me ordered a fattoush salad as a main course and, if I am not mistaken, it did not include any form of protein. The service and overall attention were very good. Our beer was forgotten for quite some time and eventually brought to the table with an explanation. Nothing significant, really. Overall, everything turned out well. ”

“ Wonderfully delicious and carefully prepared Persian style Mediterranean dishes served in a relaxed and beautiful location beside the marina with both an open and airy indoor/outdoor seating area and a more intimate and cosy section behind the bar. The food is consistently great (I've been coming here for years), with enough options to suit nearly everyone's tastes, a personal favourite is the succulent lamb shish. ”

“ We went for starters and cocktails. Loved it. Restaurant was relaxing and our waiter was amazing. Food was excellent and great views. Thank you, we will be back. There isn't a kids play area. ”

“ The Mecca Bah serves wonderful food with the service to match. We had the beef ribs, smashed potatoes and the lamb cutlets. The beef rib just fell off the bone and was so suculant it just melted in your mouth. The smashed potatoes were also delicious and went well with the mains. The sauce and vegetables were also superb as was the house Shiraz which blended well with these dishes. The house Coffees were also terrific. ”

“ We came to Mecca Bah, Hope Island for lunch and skipped the cocktails, choosing a large mocha and a pistachio cappuccino instead — both rich, smooth, and a great start. For starters, we had the Trio Dips and Breads with hummus, labneh, and baba ghanoush, plus the Cheese Boureks. The dips were fresh and full of flavour, and the boureks had that perfect crisp bite with the cheese blend melting inside. For mains, we went with the Cheesy Falafel pizza. The falafel itself was crispy, and the mix of cheddar, mozzarella, and Middle Eastern salsa worked beautifully with the mint yogurt dressing. It felt like a fun twist on classic Middle Eastern food, and definitely something I’d order again. The food and service matched each other — both warm and consistent. Staff were helpful and attentive without being over the top. The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, with a mix of families and groups enjoying platters, kebabs. Overall, Mecca Bah delivered exactly what it’s known for: flavourful Middle Eastern food, friendly service, and a setting that makes you want to linger a little longer. ”
